On July 11th, 2024, my wife Carissa and I celebrated our 15th anniversary as husband and wife, which is crazy (and awesome). We first met in middle school in the late 90s, started dating senior year of high school in 2002, then got married in 2009. We’ve known each other for about 26 years and we’ve been dating/married for almost 22 of those. Wild!
No question, Carissa and I are attached at the hip. There is no separating us. Besides the decades of memories, we also have decades of in-jokes, successes, failures, and a gracious amount of healing and forgiveness, for each other and ourselves. She knows when I’m brooding, I know when she’s holding back. We make each other laugh a lot, over silly things that many do not understand.
Marriage is brilliant and challenging. If you find the right person and you’re both committed, you’ll make it through and you’ll find joy in all circumstances.
But enough of all that. Video games, amirite?
